Just a quick post

Today just flew by! Had an award breakfast for Jenna this morning and dentist appt this afternoon. Squeeze in working and before I know it, it is 5:30! Since Jenna graduates in less than 4 weeks I thought I had better get started on her graduation quilt! I had the design figured out and bought fabrics in Paducah! I just had to start! So I had Holly sign the first block and I made it up into a block last night for her to see before she went back to school today. Now to get the rest of the relatives and friends to sign blocks!

I don't know if I ever showed this quilt. But I was putting up new spring/summer quilts and decided this one should get a turn. It just looked happy to me today. So I thought I would share a picture of it.

I just cleaned my chest/box in my house (so that I can fitt all my paducahstuff somewhere ) and I found chickenfabric and eggs.... One day I want to make a quilt for in my kitchen. But I delete it in my mind ...now seeing yours I think I need to make it . It is a happy quilt Dawn :-)

Sweet text from Holly to her sister !

That's a really lovely signature block - what a wonderful keepsake that quilt will be. Love the chicken quilt but we don't 'do' chickens in our house as DD1 is terrified of them and so thinks we're teasing her if we do - and she's the roughy toughy rugby player - go figure!

Great block!

Is your quilt going to have the same color placement for every block, or are you going to do some with red/blue in different places, but the sig. block always in the middle?

I love the graudation quilt. I took squares and set them out with fabric markers at my DD's high school graduation last year. All our family and friends took a square and wrote well wishes, fond memories etc on them and I will be making her a quilt from them...eventually, lol!
