And here are some treasures from the Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum. Mom bought them for me but I have to wait until xmas to get them. Isn't the pottery dish wonderful! It is made locally. And the button frame is just too cute!

Mom and I went to the Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum yesterday. Oh what a beautiful building. And wonderful old Amish quilts. The way they had it setup with information was really nice. We had a wonderful time there. Above was my favorite quilt - I just loved the colors, of course pictures don't capture the real beauty.
They also had an exhibit of hooked rugs. Some were new and some were very old. Many I wish I owned!

Also got some gorgeous Christmas Fabric from Quilters Hive for a wall hanging pattern my mom gave me for Christmas this year. You'll just have to wait and see what it turns into!
Last year on our trip to Paducah Laura and I made a wrong turn and found some unusual yard art. Well I think I have it beat. My mom and I went out to eat yesterday and look at what was along the road to the restaurant. If only that Sunkist can was Orange Crush - we could send it to Bonnie!

Here is my mom's and my little setup while visiting. Felicity Featherweight and I made it just fine to Delaware. I can sew while she works on puzzles and we sit and watch movies and chat! It is a lot of fun! I put a few pieces in the puzzle usually too - although this afternoon I got on a roll and put about 1/2 of it together! Course I made my mom do this one since it was only 500 pieces. I HATE the big hard ones! I leave those to her!
Made 2 blocks for Lynda at Primitive Pieces Breast and Ovarian Cancer Block Party. I love how they turned out. I"m thinking I may have to make a quilt using this block for myself, I love it.

And here is a peek at what my Orange Crush will look like with the tri-rec stars. I still have about 15 star blocks to make yet, so that is going to have to wait until July when I get back home.

Doesn't this look yummy! My sister made this a few weekends ago when I went out to Delaware to visit. I had to make some for home! It turned out sooooo good. My husband says it is too hot (spicy hot, not temp). I put in less cayenne pepper than my sister does - she says he is a wimp! Well I'm loving it! All I could think of was Libby and all her fresh produce coming in. She will need to whip something like this up. Today for something different I added some cold cooked shrimp to it - oh that was yummy! The recipe came from Taste of Home and it is called Southwestern Rice Salad.
No you just can't work on 1 project at a time. Nope, no way. So even though I have stuff to do on Orange Crush, I have to play! I did get one finish! Above is my latest baby quilt for my husband's cousins newest grandson! (Well actually it is his first grandson!). Little Nathan is getting a monkey quilt! I even went out and got a cute little stuffed monkey to give with it. No I did not make a sock monkey to go with it - I just don't have that much time! (and I don't know how!)
And one more project I just had to start. Holly picked out this fabric and the pattern for me to make a quilt for her friend at school who is getting a new apartment. This isn't the pattern - I"m going to keep you in suspense a bit more, but I"m loving how it looks!
