What a surprise

What a surprise I had today! I showed up at the quilt show to find I had won 3 member's choice awards! So I thought I'd share those with you today. The one above is called Men at Work. It is the old darting birds block, but when you turn the block over what does it look like? A men at work sign!!!

Also got ribbons for my Sunshine on my Shoulders and Strippy Repro Coins quilts!

Had to go to the Morton Arboretum today for a college get together for Emily. Who would ever believe that on Nov 8th in the midwest we would have this bright sunshine and 80 degree weather! Leaves were all off the trees of course, but the place was packed and still beautiful.

Love the Men at Work quilt - at first when I saw the photo and title I just assumed maybe they were made from men's shirts... but then read that you mentioned when you turn the block upside down it looks like the men at work sign and you are so right! :) great title! ;)

and I really really REALLY love the blue and white star quilt you showed in the previous post! That is a great photo for me to save for inspiration one day! :)

Love from Texas! ~bonnie
