There is nothing like a new ironing board cover!

There is nothing like a new ironing board cover, is there! I took some time this weekend and recovered my big board. It is so pretty now I might not be able to use it!

Been working on my Winter Wonderland redwork a bit also. This is a large block, so this is only a portion, but I"m glad to have that tree done!

I have a home made Big Board. A guy at work made it for me. I had been sewing with his wife. He had made her one and decided that all her friends needed one too! A great guy.
SO I have to staple mine to the wood when it needs a new one. I buy twin size flat sheets when they are on clearance. I can get two covers from one full size sheet.
I love having a new cover....like wearing a new outfit!

I love the redwork and your stitching looks fantastic!
Sometimes I put a large piece of muslin over my ironing board, then when it get's brown and caked with starch I can throw it in the wash.

I love your tree...will it have little patchwork quilts hanging from it when it is finished? I have a pattern with a tree and little quilts hanging from it..I was wondering if it is the same pattern...? Just lovely!

I agree. In fact, I'm going to be making a new one for me and will be posting a tutorial on my blog. Love your embroidered piece.
