I finally can share!

I finally can share the project I've been working on since July! I made wool Christmas stockings for Holly and her husband Adam. I couldn't share before now because Holly checks in on my blog and I didn't want her to see.

I gave them the stockings while they were home for Thanksgiving so that they could use them this year. Aren't they adorable!

I picked up the patterns in Paducah last spring. They are from Crawford Designs.

Guild Raffle Quilt

I showed a bit ago some blocks I was working on for our guilds raffle quilt. Well I have a bunch of them back and just had to lay them out to get a look. Doesn't it look great! This whole quilt is set in seams though, so it has been a challenge. But I am so happy with the results so far I had to share. I have 4 more star block units to make myself yet. Guess I better get going!

If your wondering what the pattern is, it is "Eldon" by Laundry Basket Quilts.

Sew Cal Gal's Christmas Quilt Show 2010

Sew Cal Gal is hosting an online Christmas Quilt Show this week! Visit her blog at and enjoy the show, or sign up and enter one of your own Christmas Quilts.

My quilt was made from a pattern I got as a gift from my mom one year. I shopped with her for the fabrics and now I have a very special Christmas quilt to hang each year. The pattern was from a quilt shop in Delaware but is no longer available for purchase.

Hope you enjoy the show!

Why I've been quiet

Some of you are probably wondering where I've been and what I'm up to? Well I"m busy finishing up xmas gifts! And I can't share yet because the receivers read the blog! But I'm getting close to being finished with them.

Went shopping to Cedarburg Wisconsin Friday with a friend. We stopped at Ye Olde Schoolhouse Quilt Shop which was in the recent top 10 quilt shops. Oh my goodness - was it wonderful. Here are some pics of the shop.

No I have no goodies to share. I've been put on a "No quilting things" diet. Now that could be really hard and tough for me. But I have a good reason!..........

I'm going to Australia!!!!! Can you believe it! I"m so excited! I"m going for just over 2 weeks in April. I"m going to visit my friend Jody and will be seeing Sydney and Canberra. I can't wait to go! So the condition of the trip was to spend no money on quilt stuff between now and then. I can do that so I can see my good friend Jode!

Oh and before I close a few shots of the old Mill in Cedarburg and the Dam next to it.
