Queen Victoria Building, Sydney



While in Sydney we went shopping in this gorgeous building - the Queen Victoria Building. It is absolutely beautiful. Inside and out!



Check out the elevator!

But most of all - the floors!

I'm so glad you got to go there, it has some amazing architechtural details. I wonder if you went to the top to see the hand carved jade carriage.

Oh gosh, it's all so amazing. But yeah, the floors - wow! Those are a real treat. Of course so are the ceilings. Oh gee, see - it's all so amazing.

I take pics of floors and tilework, too! Love that star pattern with the cornerstones....the colors work so well....and some great borders, too.....I might have to make a quilt of that! lol

beautiful! I think one of the reasons why I love tile work and stained glass is because of how similar the look is to quilting.
