Finally some new "things"!

Last weekend I went up to Madison, WI with a friend and I made her stop in Janesville so I could go to a quilt store - Life's a Stitch. What a great shop! I had never been there before so I was overwhelmed with all the awesome things! Since my friend isn't a quilter we didn't spend a lot of time there, but boy I could have! Look at all these goodies I got! 2 new fun patterns.

Some great tan solids (for a project I have in mind)!

And these beauties! Which I"m going to start working on this weekend! It has been forever since I"ve done real quilting just for fun! So watch for what this is going to become!

Had to enlarge the photo of those new patterns and get a closer look. I love them both! Lots of little pieces in "Battle of Gettysburg". What a great scrappy quilt!
"Stone Soup" gives a wonderful look with a simple design. Good choices!!
Your fabrics are beautiful--I'll be watching to see what you do with them.

Oh my gosh, I was just there last week. What a great shop. the people are nice too. My husband took me on my own little mini shop hop. I hit about five or six shops. It was so much fun, and I am so broke but I just don't care!!!!
Thanks for sharing.

I'm going to Madison, too, in October -- all my in-laws are there.
You might also like JJ's Stitches, which is a bit north of town in Sun Prairie. They have tons of Civil War prints... love that Gettysburg pattern!
