Wanted to share this AWESOME house with you. We went to tour it one day while I was in Des Moines. Of course I took about 3 pictures and my camera battery died so Jenna was kind enough to take pics on her iphone for me. So these are as good as I got.
I love touring houses like this
ReplyDeleteoh look at those windows, I see a great quilt idea :)

ReplyDeletethanks for a great tour!!
Beautiful house. We did a house tour too - Angelino neighborhood in LA. Victorians and Craftsmen that were no so castle like ;-)
ReplyDeleteI too would like those closets...
Thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful place....and the furnishing were gorgeous! Love the painting at the end! And those closets....the 'original' closet works system! lol
ReplyDeleteso glad to have a minute to catch up with you! Wow...I'd give my right arm (not really) for closets like that...but then the throne could make a real statement in my bathroom :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely virtual tour. Sounds like you girls had a lovely time.
My comment has nothing whatsoever to do with the post here. I just wanted to drop by and let you know I saw the write-up about you at "Irish Muses". Your quilts are all lovely. I especially love the last one that was featured - the one with all the houses. I've never seen that pattern before. Love it! I'd love it if you can share the pattern. Love the colors you used in the Log Cabin quilt. Excellent choice of colors.
ReplyDeleteHi, just came over from Micki's. Congrats of being Star of the month. You have a wonderful blog here and I enjoy seeing pics of the exciting house.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful house. I also want a closet like that. And wow, that toilet!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see your photos of Salisbury House. I took the tour there years and years ago, back when I was a teacher, and Salisbury House housed the headquarters for the Iowa State Teachers' Association. It's as beautiful as your photos show. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that you had a lovely visit with your daughter here in Des Moines. We are very forunate to have a beautiful city with many interesting features and a very special Salisbury House!

Glad you had a chance to experience one of our local treasures! You were right in my neighborhood! I see you also stopped by the headquarters of Meredith and their magazines, which I work for.
