Twisty Witch Hat

I know, it isn't Halloween yet, but when I found this pattern at Paducah I had to buy it and I had to make it now!  Isn't it fun!

The pattern (Twisted Halloween, by Simply Twisted Designs) uses the Lil Twister Ruler which uses 5" squares.  I made it even smaller and used Primitive Gatherings Itty Bitty Pinwheel template which starts with 2.5" squares!

And to give you an idea of finished size I threw a Hershey Bar on it for a quick pic!

ok just how fun is this!!!!
I want to make a twisted little quilt but am confused about the fabric placement to make sure you wind up liking the layout! this one is easy not a lot of colors BUT you do have the shape to make!

It's always good to keep Hershey bars on hand for just such an occasion! Cute quilt.

Would this work with the large twister template and a layer cake and make a large quilt?
