Another Break

I"ll be away for a week or two as I help Holly move and just try and keep up with life! Have a bit of eye candy for you though until I"m back! Above is another table runner for Holly. She saw this pattern and loved the Valentines runner. So that is the first one from the pattern I made. At least I got this one done!

And here are some rag pillows I made for my nephew who just graduated from high school. Holly and Adam had some like this only Purdue colors and fabrics, and they were such a hit she thought her cousin needed some for college. Done of course in his schools colors.

And I forgot to show you the awesome cake I had made for Holly's graduation party! Her major was Airport management. Is this not just the perfect cake!

See you when I'm back and caught up with stuff!

Wedding Quilt Progress

I did make a bit of progress on the wedding quilt! Here are the 9 center blocks! About 1/5th of the center done! (oh, and doesn't the blue tape add the little something extra!)

I"ve got so much going on these days. Holly is now busy packing up to move to Oklahoma. A friend told me today to slow down and take some deep breaths. So I did - and I hyper-ventilated! OK not really, but I could have!

Life is flying by...

I"m so busy this spring. It seems life is just flying by. Last weekend we were gone to Holly's graduation. This weekend we are having the big graduation party. So cleaning and planning have been going on! Lets just hope there is no rain tomorrow!

On the top are the 4 new brownstone blocks I got made. One more month done for that!

And I"m in a round robin with a group of ladies. This is the first month to get someone's block. The string block is the block I got in the mail, the theme is brights and summer. So check out what I made tonight while trying to relax and cool off from all the cleaning!

Just a top

Thought I would share my Jo's Little Women top I made this last week. Things are getting done slow, so this is all I have. And they will be slow this summer while I"m busy with Holly's college graduation, her moving to Oklahoma and Wedding "stuff". In there of course the other 2 girls have things going on too. So busy, busy, busy!

Have I got a finish to share with you!

Check out my latest finish! I've always wanted a 2 color solid quilt! And now I have an awesome one! I started this last fall at quilt camp. Laura did a mystery and this was it! I just got it back from the quilter, got it bound and washed to make it all crinkly!

Thought you were worried I wouldn't have anything for you? I"m still here, just busy, busy, busy with proms, graduations, wedding plans, and yes - work. So hang in there, I may not be around as much, but I"m still here!

Back of the Scratch Quilt

Here is a fuzzy pic of my scratch quilt. Isn't it fun!

And a 4" finished size block. I"m doing a round robin for the next 18 months and this is my starter block. My theme - Simply Solids! I can't wait to see what it will turn into! I"m dying to see what the first block is that I'm sent! I will get it about May 15th.
