Bionic Gear Bag #2
Started my next bionic gear bag! I love this bag!!!! Above is going to be the outside - cute!
And then these will be the pouches between the zippered pockets.
And then this shows the back, which shows the zipper pocket lining fabrics! Won't take long now to finish. The worst part of these bags is cutting all the pieces!!!!

Latest Fun!
Yes I"ve been busy this summer! Had a brief break from quilting and took a wonderful week long trip to NYC with my best friend from Australia, and her childhood friend. We had a BLAST!
Of course we went to the garment district and Mood! And the City Quilter!
And had afternoon tea at the Plaza! It was a great week.
When I got home I started a new project I have been wanting to make. I made 4 Sew Together bags and was just finishing them up when I came across the instructions for the Bionic Gear Bag. Needless to say I had to make 2 more of the Bionic Gear Bag! I loved the enhancements and changes Ripstitcher put in the Bionic Gear Bag. It was well worth buying the 2nd pattern!
While at a glance you may think they are the same pattern - they are NOT. The Bionic Gear Bag has so many changes, that make it an even better bag. I'm not interested in comments about who made the pattern first, or what constitutes enough changes to be a new pattern. I will be deleting any comments about that. The 2 designers have had conversations and its the past. (Enough said). And I did buy both patterns. But I have to admit - I'm a bionic gear bag fan.
Here are my Sew Together Bags. (ok so the pics of the first one I was "almost" done with it!)
And here is the bionic gear bag I have done. I'm starting the second one this weekend. If you want to see some of the great changes in the bionic gear bag watch this You Tube video!
And here is the one I"ve got finished! Already given to the owner.... now to get mine made!

Lets go back to January
I wanted to go back to January and share something I made for a friend and I that I hadn't posted yet! Yes, so I"m really late in sharing! My friend wanted this sewing pouch for a small rotary mat and some tools to take with places. She had seen this pattern and had been bugging me for months to sit down and help her make it. Her birthday is in January - so I surprised her with one all made up! Above is mine on the left and hers on the right! Aren't they cute!
I loved this kitchen fabric and had no idea what to use it for - so I decided my travel case was just going to have to be kitchen themed! My friend loves quilting fabrics. Want a peek inside? (Yes I bought her those notions to go inside as part of the surprise too).
My first try was horrid! I had picked out all this cute valentines fabric that said I Love You along with some quilting fabric and fussy cut everything. Not until it was done did I realize that the front pocket of the inside also shows on the outside! I know - not hard to realize that, but I just didn't "think"! Anyway, I gave this one to my friend for her to give her granddaughter who has started doing redwork. So for her it was fun for grandma to give to her. Just had to share another fun project I did this winter!
