I"ve been working on my medallion quilt now for about a year. I came to a screeching hault when the next round was "Starry, starry night". I had no idea what I wanted to do. Just regular ohio stars or sawtooth stars just didn't seem to fit. So it sat. And sat. And sat some more. Then during Dec I came across this triangle star in EQ5. This was it! This is what I needed to complete the next round!Sunday, February 03, 2008

You will have to keep us updated on how this will turn out. You have been very productive.
Girl, that center star surrounded by curved? light triangles looks tricky, but you outdid yourself with MORE trickery! Amazing job!
I love the stars, but if you had trouble with them then there is no way I'll get them! They are going to look great on the quilt!
Those stars look very tricky to me. Will you teach us how now?

Wow - those stars are going to be stunning on your medallion - aren't you glad you were stalled until just the right block came along?

I have a real thing for 6-pointed stars, and those triangle ones are lovely! What fun!
I know all about blocks that don't come out the right size... that strippy coin is really cute - hurrah and congrats.
I love the coin quilt and wondered about the golden fabric you used for the inside border. I am looking for a fabric like this, but I'm not sure where to look. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
christine
The medallion quilt is stunning and those stars have come out fantastic. I love them.
It's so nice to have something handquilted. I don't do that much...almost never. Never enough time for doing it ALL.
I am so glad you figured your stars out. They look so awesome, that quilt is just stunning. You definately need to be writing this pattern as you go along!
The stars will be a great addition to your medallion.
