Just for fun.....

Thought this would be good for a laugh! My sister sent this to me! I sent it to some friends and got this response back:
"My goodness, it's like someone followed me around all day and took notes on how I spend my days. Why I was just mentioning to "Joe" yesterday , as I was drying him off as he got out of the shower and handing him his freshly laundered underwear, that I was on my way to the kitchen to prepare him a snack to hold him over until I could throw a 5 course meal together for his dinner ( all his favorite foods, of course). I know my place!"
Of course Linda had to reply back with "Presume that is freshly starched and ironed underwear, of course."

Emily had her first 2 Tennis matches this week. She won both! That was so exciting. I was just happy she made the team - and then she made the starting line-up! Covered Porches mentioned her son was coming home from college for the holiday weekend and so is my freshman. Of course he doesn't want to see us. He just wants the ride home to see the girlfriend. Holly is staying at school to be "with my friends".

Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend!

Yeah, Eric's got a girlfriend and home too, and a printer for his computer to bring up--don't kid yourself, we're not top on the list either....But at least he'll be home at night.

Hummm - so many women today feel like they have to work full time, be a full time Momma, be a full time wife, have a perfect house, do the carpool, volunteer, participate in after-school activities/sports, on and on and on (oh, and let's not forget the mandatory birthday parties for kids!). Now if we could find the perfect housekeeper similar to the perfect wife of the 1950's - I wonder what more we could fit into our schedules (or feel like we have to fit into our schedules with that new found "free" time)!

Cheers!

Do you think that any of that was reasonable even 50 years ago? UGH! Hope somebody can come up with a 2006 version...I'd love to see that one!

Hurray for Emily!

You all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Don't forget to "speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice."

;-) Thanks for the flashback into a -- THANK GOD -- forgotten era!

My brother-in-law thought this was a great idea, and wanted it stapled up throughout the house. Marguerite suggested stapling it to his backside!

The counter to this one was the story of the husband who left $30,000 for his funeral expenses. His wife got a $24,000 memorial stone . . . four and half carats!

Why, that's *exactly* the scene in my kitchen every morning, Dawn! How did you know...and where did you find the picture of us? :oP

Wow, that's scary. What's really scary is that there are a lot of men that would still prefer that women be that way.

Cute little gingerbread house!

And the 'good wife' statement that got me was the one about "dont complain if he comes to dinner late or even stays out all night."

Geesh, MUST have been written by a man.
