My mini quilt from retreat

Here is a picture of my mini quilt from the retreat! I bought this pattern/kit last spring with my mom, and got one for my friend also. So I have been waiting and waiting to make this with her (she has had a bad summer - her husband is having a mid-life crisis and left her because after 21 years of marriage he is not sure she is the one!).

Anyway, needless to say we haven't had time to make them, so this weekend we finally got to sew them! Aren't they cute! Mine is on the left. They finish to 16" x 20".

I bought this really cute old barn wood frame to put it in - it is going to look so awesome in there! I can't wait to get it quilted and in the frame and hung up!

I have more pics, but am only half with it after the root canal - but I survived! The big baby that I am! I"m ok other than the tooth really aching tonight. Anyway, wanted to let you know I"m back and had a lovely weekend and got some fun sewing done!

Dawn -

These little quilts are adorable. Does that pattern have a name. And I love the fabrics in it.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dawn, glad you see your post..hope that tooth settles down soon. Love the mini's and the sharing...hurray for you for being that kind of friend..*VBS*

It's really a neat little piece. I had thought maybe table runner, but a framed piece sound really interesting..hope to see the finished project. Take care of you! Hugs, Finn

Love yours and your friend's minis, Dawn! She's lucky to have you. Just think what great therapy both you and quilting are for her right now.

The frame idea sounds cool! Can't wait to see it!
