Look! I got the top done! And it doesn't look bad! I think James will love it! (At least I hope so)!
And below are a few blocks so you can see what a block looks like. This was so easy to sew. It was kind of fun just doing mindless sewing and accomplishing something!

I'm not usually drawn to orientals..but THIS is gorgeous! If James does not like it, can I put my name on it??? :::Grin::::
I love it - it is nice to sew occaisionally and not think so hard... The quilt is quite a gift...
Have you said "not bad" ? It's GORGEOUS ! Gives a feeling of warmth and peace at the same time.
This is a good example that simple blocks also lead to elegance and beauty ! GREAT job !
How are you going to quilt it ? (I would use a circular "Sashiko" pattern, with thick, white coton thread...)
Hugs & smiles,
NADINE.
Ohhh Dawn, it's just lovely, and I love the richness of the fabrics. You've done a wonderful job!

I am sure he will love this quilt. And this pattern is a great way to reduce my fabric stash. Perhaps I try to make one like this.....after christmas.
It's terrific, Dawn!!! He's got to love it! What a collection of fabric!
Looks really great Dawn! So unlike you, but it turned out perfectly. I'm sure he will really love it.
It looks great! I love how quickly it went together.
Wonderful! I love the fabrics and the free flowing pattern. And I laughed hysterically over the turkey breast!
The fabrics are stunning and it turned out to be a beautiful "male" quilt - I'm sure he'll love it :-)
Fabulous!...and is there anything better than mindless sewing??
Yes, it looks great. I like patterns like that where you can make it up as you go along

Hi Dawn, your Oriental quilt top for James looks wonderful! Sometimes mindless sewing is just what is needed by all of us. Great job on getting the top done. Hugs, Finn
I really like how the red/orange pops on this quilt. I'm sure he'll love it!

yep, it's a winner all right! nice job getting it done really quite quickly-these larger easy type patterns are a nice break and sure showed off those fabrics-lucky nephew James!
Love the quilt! The close-up pics really help to see the fabric design and texture. Great job!!
Beautiful quilt, Dawn ... and beautiful new banner, too ! Lucky you !
Smiles,
NADINE.
This is a beautiful quilt. I like how you have made it masculine. I really like the green border. I have some of that eternity fabric - the one that looks like a "K" in red and white, and I used it in a quilt for my daughter.
