I got the Oriental Quilt Done!

Look! I got the top done! And it doesn't look bad! I think James will love it! (At least I hope so)!

And below are a few blocks so you can see what a block looks like. This was so easy to sew. It was kind of fun just doing mindless sewing and accomplishing something!

I'm not usually drawn to orientals..but THIS is gorgeous! If James does not like it, can I put my name on it??? :::Grin::::

I love it - it is nice to sew occaisionally and not think so hard... The quilt is quite a gift...

Have you said "not bad" ? It's GORGEOUS ! Gives a feeling of warmth and peace at the same time.
This is a good example that simple blocks also lead to elegance and beauty ! GREAT job !
How are you going to quilt it ? (I would use a circular "Sashiko" pattern, with thick, white coton thread...)
Hugs & smiles,
NADINE.

I am sure he will love this quilt. And this pattern is a great way to reduce my fabric stash. Perhaps I try to make one like this.....after christmas.

Wonderful! I love the fabrics and the free flowing pattern. And I laughed hysterically over the turkey breast!

Hi Dawn, your Oriental quilt top for James looks wonderful! Sometimes mindless sewing is just what is needed by all of us. Great job on getting the top done. Hugs, Finn

This is a beautiful quilt. I like how you have made it masculine. I really like the green border. I have some of that eternity fabric - the one that looks like a "K" in red and white, and I used it in a quilt for my daughter.
