Another Miss Mary Project

Here are some more blocks I worked on at Miss Mary's. I have 2 more to make (it will be a 4 block quilt). The pattern is Fig Tree Quilts - Jelly Stars. However I'm making mine from a FQ bundle I had, still works! Can you tell I love that American Primer line!

I inspired someone across the Seas!

Look at what Marga from the Netherlands is making! She was inspired by my mini pineapple quilt I made this summer. So see that see the links in her post (even if you can't read Dutch you can find the links!). Stop by and give her support!

Joint Project

Sossy and I worked on a joint project at Miss Mary's. I gave her fabric amounts but it was a mystery to her! Didn't they turn out fun! I can't wait to get this one quilted! The pattern is by Miss Rosie and is a Snibbles pattern called Scratch. Below is mine.

And here is Sossy working away. She got a TON done!

One finish from Miss Mary's

Just a quick post - I'm still catching up from being gone and haven't even moved my quilting stuff to the basement yet! But I did finish the mystery quilt Laura had for us this fall at camp! I just LOVE how it turned out! I've already sent it off to the quilter!

Look what I found in the mail when I got home!

Look at what was waiting for me when I got home today! Nines sent me this absolutely gorgeous and stunning doily! I just can't believe that someone can make something like this. The detail is unbelievable! And look at what she tucked in with it! Two very cool and very beautiful postcards!

Getting Ready for Miss Mary's!

I"ve been busy getting ready for Miss Mary's! I can't WAIT! Miss Mary's is an old farmhouse where a bunch of us gather this time of year to hunker down and eat, laugh and yes even sew! Although sometimes we are laughing so hard and talking so much we can't sew a straight line. Top of my list was getting roommate gifts ready. For some reason I can't ever think of something cute to buy, but I always come up with something to make! Only problem with that is that I have to get them done before I go! So here are some fabric baskets for my gifts! These just turn out sooo cute! If you want to know where the pattern is, it is listed on my side bar under tutorials.

And I finally got one kit ready! This is going to be just a small quilt, but I LOVE it! Carol knows what it will be! The rest of you will have to just wait. I"m not showing right now because Sossy is making it with me and I haven't told her yet what it is!

So only a short time now and I"ll be joining Linda, Jan, Sossy and Laura for a fun fillled weekend! I can't wait!

Baby it's Cold Outside

9:30am this morning. Bright Sun. Clear crisp day. And what does the temp read..... -8 degrees! Baby it's cold outside!

And I haven't had time to share this yet. Look at this delicious dessert my girls made over the holidays. I have to get them to make it again some night! Oh it was sooooo good! And of course, no calories - yeah right.

Isn't it just the cutest!

Isn't this just the cutest! I made this Smore Snowman quilt and pillowcases for Holly for a Christmas present this year. She LOVES pink and appreciates my quilts, so I made it for her for a surprise. Doesn't it look great on her bed in her apartment!

And look at this! My Orange Crush is quilted and binding is on. I just have to finish hand sewing it down on back and then it will go on my bed! I can't wait!

And look at the fun back I made!

Christmas Quilt

I never got a chance to show you the xmas quilt I made this year. I had guild last night so got some friends to hold my quilts up! I made this top at camp this fall and got it quilted and bound in time for xmas this year! (The center portion of squares was a panel).

And from the scraps I made these 2 mini quilts for our silent auction at our guild quilt show next fall.
And remember the Hugs and Kisses from the Cat quilt I made my friend for xmas? I made this mini quilt for the auction also!

Tumbler Progress

Made a small amount of progress on my tumbler quilt. It will be Queen Size so it will take awhile - especially while the kids are all home from college yet! Sorry for the strange pictures - I don't have a lot of space to lay it all out!

Odds and Ends

A few more Odds and Ends of things I finished or did over Christmas. First off I finished all my Quilter's Blessing bluework blocks! Actually I ended up making one to many. There were 15 in all, but I"m going to use 12 in my quilt. Bea is doing a new BOM this year about Nursery Rhymes!

I also have to share with you a quilt a friend bought for me in SC this fall for my xmas gift! She found it at an antique store. Isn't it fun! The sailors are just too funny. They make me think of Cracker Jack!
