I"m finally feeling better!

Just a bit of eye candy. Boy was I sick! I am so happy to be feeling semi-human again! The above doll quilt I made this fall and started hand quilting it in October. I finally got it finished! And below is a closer shot and the back. I'm so happy with how it turned out!

I also made a couple purses for xmas gifts. I"m glad to get those done!

And last but not least is a picture of my little mug rug I got for a gift from my friend. Isn't it adorable!

Thats about all as being sick and now catching up hasn't left me with a lot of time to do too much! Just know I"m popping in quickly now and then to your blogs, but haven't taken the time to leave any comments.

I knew that you had to be feeling so terrible...because you are always such a faithful blogger. Poor sweetie...I'm sending you hugs and some good chicken-noodle-soup-sort-of-wishes tonight, Dawn!

Eye candy indeed!!! Your doll quilt is fantastic!!! So precious now that it is quilted up. (Note to self: Make little quilts.) Love the purses...the shape and the handles are so cool! What a nice mug rug to receive from a good friend. Love the mix of wool and cottons. (Right?)

Hugs to you!

I am SO glad you are feeling better! This is no time to be sick! (I think I said that before!) What a cute mug rug! Is that from Lynn or someone else? The purses are great - what a neat gift to get! The doll quilt looks great - I really like the simple way you quilted it. The piano key border really sets it off.

So glad you are feeling better. There is never a good time to feel bad, but this time of year does seem like the worst. Love the little quilt, it's just as cute as can be.

It would have never occurred to me to hand quilt a doll quilt... but I have one made and waiting to be quilted. Maybe I should do it by hand! If I do, I'll never want to give it away. I bought a doll at a garage sale - was owned by a boy who didn't play with it often, so she's like new except needed a new outfit. I bought her a little preemie-baby suit, and it's perfect. Then I bought a big basket with a handle at Goodwill, and she fits into it. She also wears a little hat that I knitted for her... and now if I hand quilt for her...... I'm already in love with her, how could I possibly give her away? The idea was to sell her at our church bazaar next year. I don't know. I love her now, and what if some day I have a grandchild who will love her??? Such a conundrum. BTW, glad you're feeling better. I'm sick as a dog today and hope it doesn't last long. This is not fun. (And your snow pictures look like such fun. We haven't had any yet here in my area of Minnesota!!!)

Glad to hear your feeling better! I had a kiddo home sick for three days last week and now, Monday, he still has a sore throat. I had to pop him full of motrin and send him out the door...now I feel guilty darn it! AUGH! Winter colds stink!! Here in Korea colds are going around like the plague. The whole school is infected. YUCK! I am going to start wearing the "Michael Jackson" mask! heehee Have a wonderful week!
