Anyway, this antique shop had some awesome antiques quilts. And probably not priced badly, but I just don't have the money to spend right now. But I did get some pictures (with permission). I had such fun looking at them and touching them! Thought I would share them with you.

If I were a rich man.....
Or a rich lady.... I"d buy antique quilts! I found some awesome antique quilts yesterday at an antique store, playing with my friend. We hit some shops, the antique store, went to this really fun shop of nothing but spices, had lunch at a deli and then went to see the movie "The Queen" - which was very good by the way. It was strange watching something so historical but remembering the actual event!

Wow, the last one is so pretty with all the dense quilting.
They are wonderful...thanks for sharing...I love the last one. The quilting is beautiful.
Those must have been hard to resist. I think my favorite is the pink fan. Amazing quality in the quilting.
Wow! What lovely quilts, they're all just gorgeous, but I can definitely see myself making that last one ... it's a stashbuster!
*hugs*

:-)
Yum! Some really great quilts!
Oh my word, those are some delicious quilts. I thought I had seen my favorite and then I would scroll down to the next. Such beautiful work and lots of inspiration.
Fabulous antiques Dawn! That eagle is spectacular!
Ohhh, if I were rich, I'd quit work and quilt full time, and buy a long arm, and a bigger house to put it in, and a full time housekeeper so I didn't even have to clean up the threadies myself... lol
Ah yes - if wishes were horses then beggars, er quilters, would ride. And we'd all be building climate controlled rooms to house our increasing collection of antique quilts. I still like the squares best! What was the price on that one anyway?
Are you going to join Jeanne and me and start a new blog instead of waiting for Blogger to clean up it's act?
these are beautiful - I would have trouble choosing just one

They are beautiful.
I use to dreel over vintage & antique quilts. Would wish that I could afford even just one.
Well, as I have been cleanning out my Mom's house I keep stubeling over caschs of my Grandmother's quilts, quilt tops and blocks. They were done in the 20's, 30's, 40's and latter.
I am trying to share my ever growing collection on about every 3rd blog.
I invite you to visit my blog as my latest is of some of the blocks.
Thank you for sharing these photos with us. I love the first one, so rich looking.
Every quilt has a story. When I see an antique quilt, my mind immediately ventures off to story of who might have kept warm by each piece. Who might have worn the clothing that became quilt pieces. Or maybe who was rested because they slept under that quilt. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Thanks for sharing these treasures.
I've never seen antique quilts in real life - these pics are wonderful. My favourite is the bottom one. The quilting is exquisite on all of them! It's a shame that they aren't able to be passed on through the families, although then they wouldn't be in shops for us quilters to buy.
What a fun day to spend with a friend! A spice shop...how cool is that. What a fantastic aroma that must have been!
Gorgeous quilt show too! I love the Tumbling Blocks! Oh, how rich in color.
Oh, my oh my. That tumbling blocks quilt just shimmers!
Thanks for sharing the photos of the antique quilts. I collected when I was single and working! Also when I had space...These are definately some nice ones. I'd be tempted!

Oh these are so beautiful - I would want all of them! My budget wouldn't allow it either.
